Keith,
First, thanks for your time, I know you are a very bisy man. Can you tell me if Simonis cloth characteristics such as flatness, no nap, etc... will allow more spin, draw, and or extreme english to take on the Q-ball verses other brand cloth? Secondly, what type of tip do you use on your stick and how do you feel about the 11 layer laminated tips like Moori (Medium) or Sniper (Pro)? I have a decent stroke but notice much better draw at pool halls rather on my home table. I'm going to put new cloth on my table and was wondering if the cloth (Simonis) would allow me better draw strokes. Thanks again for your time.......Rich

I think you can get more draw with the Simonis cloth. That other cloth does seem like it's a little slower. One thing to remember is when you do put that cloth on your home table, it's important to have it done professionally, the tighter, the better (IMO). Most tournaments use the 860 Simonis. So I would recommend to get that kind, and if and when you do play outside of your home, you will be comfortable and able to adapt a lot quicker.

You might want to get you a set of Aramith balls, since that is what most tournaments are using.

As far as tips, I've been using the medium Moori. I replace my tip at almost every tournament because I cut 'em down so far. I like a thinner tip with a nickel shape, which allows me to get more precise with some shots when I do use extreme english. I don't like those full tips. I have them cut in half. That's why I go through them so often.
