if u are not on the ipt do not worry about it

why is everybody worried about a check if u are not on the IPT allow the players worry about this, not u. I am a IPT member and I am not worried about my check I will if it does not show up by next week. this whole leaving everybody in the dark is not cool but we will soon see what the IPT has in store for us players and this will probably mean we will need to start a escrow account where the prize fund will need to be distributed from.

Because if you dont get a check, the IPT fails and we fans lose too-understand?

How did the IPT ever accept your application?

Why am I worried?

Probably for the same reasons as many others. Many of us either know someone or have a friend who:

- paid $2000 to enter qualifiers based on the promise of a viable tour (or at least tournaments that paid the players monies they were owed in a timely manner).

- is on the IPT and spent considerable time and $$$ attending IPT events in lieu of spending that time/money elsewhere.

- might be placed in a financial bind after spending (sometimes borrowed) money to attend a tournament and then had to go back home without getting paid.

Of course if the players do not get paid, Kevin Trudeau should at least be kind enough to send them all a consulation prize

ok now that was funny the ky i love it. but really truthfully if the checks do not get here by next week then you guys all have eason to believe that this whole tour is probably not about nothing.

Huh.

If you "fans" would understand something, you would praise all the good things the IPT has done (too many to start to mention here for an example) and discuss about the mistakes in respective and constructive manner.

The discussion should be something like 95% positive - 5% critisism.

Now it is 45% stupid and unmotivating critisism - 25% irrational and irrelevant complaints and speculations - 25% defending from those who either are the real fans, lucky players, or otherwise feeling good with their lives and having some wisdom to see further their envious noses - 5% Bernie Friend.

Something Strange Going On Here!

We are getting a lot of newbies posting on positively about the IPT. HUH!
Looks like a very inexpensive PR campaign for the IPT! If you haven't posted more than 300 times, you are not credible guys. Go spread your BS somewhere else. Nobody is being fooled by you! I hope.
Purdman:cool:

That is ridiculous!!!

What a ridiculous post! Surely you know that at most KT would only send a few pages photocopied from his book with a natural cure for certain raw areas! :D :D :D

Hells bells guy if everybody got paid then life on the forums would be extremely boring. We would have to talk about tips and 314's.

But have no fear, Charlie Williams is a member of the IPT and I am sure that he checked it all out and willingly joined the club. I never did hear him talk about an escrow account like he did for the US Open.

Perhaps he will have the UPA players boycot the Chicago event unless the money is placed in an escrow account.

Because many of us see the word "check" differently than and escrow account. Many see this as life, passion and all the hard work needed to achieve anything of importance. Being great at this game takes the same amount of time and effort to build a successful business from scratch. With so much history, there is allot more at stake than a CHECK.

I am a new poster with a considerable financial interest in several players so naturally I want the IPT to succeed. If it doesn't the players I am involved with will still be okay although a fair few dollars poorer than they could have been. I will lose considerably.

This should qualify me to post an opinion.

There are far more positives than negatives. Many people are posting speculation in a very negative way whilst saying that they hope the tour succeeds. It is counter-productive and damaging.

Great. Then maybe the comments that are made here will motivate somebody to do something or to at least provide an explanation. Right now everybody is getting the run around. An honest explanation could have cleared this up a very long time ago. Not doing so has been counter productive and damaging.

Well, you have all the answers and statistics, why don't you start it out.
Your post is 100% negative, start from there.

Nice post Nostroke,

Don't let this guy get away with giving an opinion without implying that he is an idiot. D-Bags Rule:rolleyes:

I think the main reason I am concerned is because if you are considering trying to qualify at a local ($2000) you want to know that people are getting paid today before you toss $2000 into the organization. I guess I am trying to say that track history dictates if you are going to continue to have local IPT qualifiers and it would be nice to see positive track history.

I think your numbers are way off. During good times and smooth sailing then there should be a more balanced discussion. What happened during the last Major League Baseball strike ? Lots of negative talk. Same thing happened when the NHL was on strike, lots of doom and gloom. This is pretty common during crisis. Also, when you hype something as aggresively as the IPT has, you really need to live up to that higher standard. Just look at their tag line, they have problems with getting 'Real Rules' and now there are issues with their 'Real Money'. Methinks you should ditch the rose coloured glasses and get real.

I am glad to see you spell envious correctly though, keep up the good work

I've talked to a few people and there are some that genuinely are not worried about it... yet. On the flip side, there are some players that are worried about it. Just before reading this I got a text msg from one asking me if I had heard anything on the checks yet. Those of us that are friends of IPT members worry about it because we care for our friends and we really want this tour to work out for the pool world.

Coming from a fan's standpoint... they're wanting people to sign up and become members on their website & sign up for the streaming video etc... If the players aren't getting paid and the IPT is keeping mum about it, why on earth would we the fans want to spend our money joining the website?

My point was mostly I doubt very much that he is an IPT member.

So the player gives the IPT $2,000 for a qualifier slot, what does he receive in return? Since no communication is coming forth of their current situation common sense tells us something is not right. If they needed the monies for the qualifiers, communication at this point is paramount.
