bump for info
I tied for 5th-6th in Mens masters single.
1. Ron Gibson
2. Denver Barger
3. Steve Oaks

Men's Masters team when I left this morning, Steve Oaks, Brian Gregg, Tony Blankenship, Bruce Throckmorton, and Kevin Wampner hed just won the loser bracket and were getting ready to play a team led by Gordon Knauer also fron Indy. 3rd in the Masters team was a team from Portage that we beat in the finals last year,

Thank you Sam.

Every year I think about getting another team back together, it surprises me who I see in the team finals, because I end up seeing a few names I have never heard of.

I wouldn't think of Gordon as a great 8 ball player, but it looks like he is getting the job done, and he is an incredibly nice person.

Steve, Brian, Tony, are all awesome, and Bruce has for 15 years been a straight shooter, but I wonder why you wouldn't throw a Ron Morton, Waldo, etc. in there.

I bet you have like strawberry blonde hair? Am I thinking of the right person? Kind of small, and very attractive. If so, I've watched you play a couple of times, and you play some pretty good pool. Congratulations on your title.

When you have those unknown teams show up in the finals, it's usually because they work well together as a team. No bickering or ego problems between them. From what I'm told about Gordon's team this year, they're a group of mostly C players, { From what I'm told, I don't know any of them} but they were making balls on the break and playing smart when they didn't have a chance to run out.
The reason Bruce is playing with Steve and Brian, is he's a very solid 8-ball player, with a great attitude. A very good team player. I've played on a couple of teams with him, and he's capable of getting out of some tough spots. Not sure Ron Morton is playing anymore. Waldo is playing on a team with Henry Reese, Jeff Beckley, Evert Snow, and Jim Stoner. They work pretty well together too.

I pulled one of the biggest bone-head moves ever. We were down and finally got a break. I had three balls on the table, with ball-in-hand, and my opponent was on the eight. When I sat the cueball on the table it slipped out of my hand and scattered the remaining balls. Needless to say I was pretty upset with myself for letting my teammates down. Sorry guys.

No...I believe you're thinking of the 2nd place finisher. You're right...she does play well and she was a class act.
I have dark brown hair....5'10"....I was around for several days. In fact, I did see you there. Congratulations on your finish as well!:)

Sorry I got you mixed up with her. You must play pretty good too. Are you playing the BCA State in Ft. Wayne?

Proud of you...

That's ok.
No, I don't play BCA league. This session of VNEA is the first time I've played in any league. Worked out pretty well this time!:) Thinking about playing VNEA in Las Vegas though.

Wow!!!!!

Nice start Christy. May be your year for snapping things off. If you can swing it, you probably ought to try the Vegas trip. It's a very good time. Occasionally, you get to play someone from a foreign country who speaks no English at all.
Great job.
