I was thinking about taking there 3 day intensive program. they have an ad on this forum and the website is poolclinics.com I just wanted to get some real honest opinions from people that have attended the program. I mean, the cost is about a grand for three days so i dont wanna just pay if you really dont learn alot. Thanks for the input.

To be honest i dont think that there are that many clinics that teach you something you cant learn on your own.

You don't know what you don't know! :p ;)

i understand that you can learn anything but i would rather pay a good amount and be taught very valuable information then just hitting balls for three years. i am pretty young, im only 18 and i want to improve dramatically... i am really aiming for people that have already taken the course to see what they think of it.

You can't go wrong with Randy G's Cuetech Pool School. I am 17 and went to it in the summer. I have seen a huge improvement in my fundamentals, shot making, and overall game. SAM is a great aiming system they show you and that alone is worth it.

I just went through Tom's clinic about three weeks ago. For me, it's been HUGE.

And yeah, it's kinda pricy but if you do the math, it's about $25/hr considering you're at it for three days, about eight hours a day. Granted, you're not getting a single instructor's attention the whole time, but its a lot cheaper than a single instructor's time for the amount of time spent.

I consider it money well spent.

actually i just called up randy G and holy shnicks his is two hundred cheaper and hes alot more old school. i mean how can you compete with the guy that certifies BCA masters

He offered us a refresher course ( the same 3 day course) for free if we brought a paying friend or for $100 if we didn't. So that really makes it worth it.

Randy is also on the road about once a month, so you don't necessarily have to travel to Dallas to take his class. I've been a part of several of his classes both as a student and as an instructor. With several instructors at each class, the student always has an instructor nearby. It's well worth the price.

Hey Tanner, did you guys get a video of your lessons, so you could refresh your mind about what was taught, as time goes on?

No we didn't get video to take back, but he did have the video analysis of our stroke which really helped.

If you are in the St Louis part of the country Mark Wilson, pro player from the 70's/80's, offers lessons that are as good as any you can get anywhere.
