Jeanette's cue extension

Jacoby

I believe it is Jacoby that has this extension design built into some of their cues.

I went to a senior event in French Lick years ago, there was a booth there installing them on cues. Unfortunately I can't remember the name.

I don't know, but she and her opponent both took four shots at the ten-ball before finally sinking it (and they weren't playing safeties).

Deroo Cues will ad these to existing cues. I had seen one on one of thier cues a bunch of years ago its handy forsure

Maybe you could add one of these to a Black Boar with one of those rubber baby buggy bumper thingies.

Anybody know what cue Jeanette uses in this match.
Love how she extends it at 1:15.
Excellent idea for a cue.
All you cue makers take note please, lets make this the new standard.

This is probably the same extension she uses. Had Brandon Jacoby install one in my Schon "break" cue last year. Unscrews from butt. Continuing to unscrew locks the extension out. Reversing the procedure re-installs the extension. Neat but somewhat expensive.

Southeast Cues, Clarksville, Tn use to make these and install them on their cues also. You might try them. Good luck. Tom

I have a Lucasi cue that came with this same type of extension from the factory. It's a J/B cue so also has an extra joint.

That thing looks great.
However my only concern is the stability of this thing.
Does it wobble while you're going through your stoke or is it pretty stable?

it is exactly what cardiac kid said
I bought one for my very short wife years ago, Mike Webb had one for sale at a tournament years ago, I made enough money that day to buy it for her, It cost more than the cue I still use did when it was new.
Mike told me some snooker cues are built this way.
The cue if kinda heavy in the back, but I suppose it could be gotten used to.
not to mention it is very cool to say the least.

The primary use of the cue extension is to avoid using a bridge (rake) playing on a bar box when possible. On the "big" table I use it only sparingly for the same shots. When extended, the cue is solid. Wouldn't use it to break with extended but normal shots, it's fine.

Steve,

Mike had those break cues with the extensions available for sale at Mike Zuglan's Pro Billiards. Saw them there. Tried to buy the ebony cue during a Joss event. He sold it out from under me  . He does make great cues. Congratulations.

Brandon was able to replace the Schon weight bolt with the extension package. Think the entire butt weighed slightly LESS than with the weight bolt in place when finished. The bonus was he does great work. Highly recommended.

How do these extensions hold up over time? It's hard to believe that the extension piece wouldn't start rattling around in the grip section of the cue after a while. After a few years of use, wouldn't something have to give a bit and start to cause a rattle?

The extension threads completely into the insert in the butt. When closed, you can not tell the butt has been modified. When open, there is a slight vibration when a ball is struck. Can not see why it would rattle over time. Anything is possible.
