How do Jerry Olivier cues play? Hit, construction quality, etcetc. Let me know if you've played with one. I see some plain janes on IndyQ by him and are wondering if they're worth it for around 400 bucks. Debating that between the Samsara Barcues. Any input is welcomed.

I've played with several of his cues and like how they feel.

My brother bought one of his level 1 cues in Las Vegas. It is his everyday player and he loves it.

They play excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. They are not shitty cues.

I have a collection of 12 mostly high end cues, three of which are Jerry Olivier cues. The one that I play with on a regular basis is one of Jerry's cues.

Jerry has also refinished two other cues for me, one of which is a 20 year old David Barber that I had custom made.

Jerry not only makes a beautiful product, he also makes one of the most consistantly playable cues in the industry.

I just played with my Jerry Olivier cue for the first time today and I couldn't be happier with it.
It's hard to describe the hit of a cue without comparing it to another and I have never felt another like this. I would consider it quite stiff and very responsive. It feels like a one piece cue to me and I imagine that's what most cue makers are trying to achieve.

Good luck.

Jerry is one of my best friends in this business so keep that in mind when I say this. His cues are solid players. I have not liked EVERY Jerry Olivier I have ever picked up but the ones I did like were great.

Jerry was playing with tapers a decade ago and one year he came to me with a shaft and said "try this" and I was OH MY GOD what is in this shaft?

Anyway he has settled on something like that shaft taper I fell in love with and since then every Olivier I have played with has been fantastic.

I reluctantly sold my last one several years ago and now I think it's time to bug Jerry about a new one.
