Jobillo wood

I picked up a stick of this stuff today. I couldn't find much info about it online. Anyone ever use this stuff? It looks beautiful.

Wood workers source says its just another name for Goncalo alves and I know that is commonly used in cues.

Small movement in service, 59 lb/ft. heavy wood....I could be wrong I am no expert but thats what I am finding.

Sorry they actually show them as the same common name for jobillo but not for goncolo alves they have a different botanical name so may be different. Best to wait for someone else to chime in on the subject

It's very similar to goncalo alves. Jobillo, goncalo alves, and tiger wood are all supposedly different species but I cannot tell the difference & I have all three in my shop.

looking to the picture, i agree with them, its Goncalo Alves like. the figure and the color
And we all know, Alves are commonly used in Cuemaking.
