I agree. They should play a third set instead.
BTW...my son and I are in that video. right at the end, about 1:18:30. I am the bald guy looking around like my head is on a swivel...LOL. Joey was very nervous, not used to a shot clock, and let the shot clock run out on him once. I felt bad for him on that.
I agree with the third set. As we have seen in recent tournaments, they now have a modified third set in the later rounds. Better for sure, but why not just finish is out or get two ahead or something? The shoot out is difficult, but not the best test of one's "pool" skills but only one's "pocketing" skills. To me it just cheapens the match to more luck than overall skill. That is why one-pocket is probably the greatest of all pool games. Even though it is not for non-pool viewers and it is slow, it is the best test of strategy, patients, banking, pocketing, position, intelligence and courage.
Well instead of complaining about the color of the balls and the format, I'm are thankful these events are being put on and players are starting to make a little more cash than in the past.
I went back and saw you and your son in the video. Where was Stu?

There usually isn't a stream that we don't see him! Glad you got to attend the event.
