Keith made this from an old Duffy blank. It looks to be alves into straight maple. The condition is like new, it's only been test hit. Both pieces are straight. Total weight is about 18.5, the shaft is 4 oz. The butt is tapped for a weight bolt. Very solid hitter. Deal pending....

Ok I hate to sound ignorant, but can someone explain the conversion process to me? Did Keith just cut a dufferin in two and put a pin in it or did he modify the cue in some other way other than just making it a 2 piece. Does it play just like one of his customs, better, worse... I just havent quite grasped the concept behind conversion cues yet.

I'm sure he has added one of his shafts to the cue. Also put a pin in the cue and retapered the butt. Also adding a butt cap. He used the duff butt for a blank. Also added a joint sleeve and joint rings. This how I convert one. Josey may do thing his way. Very nice cue!

Well on an oversized blank the builder is going to put his taper on the butt making it play like any of his cues and some guys will say they play better. And then its going to be a Josey shaft.
