So now that you all are going to be getting 600 bucks from the gov for your rebate you think the cue market will rebound for a little bit?

That is what I am going to spend my money on.

I think for most people that could actually use the rebate because they are feeling the pinch of recession, the money will go towards debt or savings to pay off future debt. The bad taste of loss in valuation some feel in the cue market will likely not change much. Instead of cues, 401K, and company stock purchase plan, I wish I had put every red cent of my expendable income into gold and silver back in 1999-2001. I wouldn't have to work today.

We'll be using the $1200 to replace part of the $2000 we're paying. Since we're paying off all our debt we never planned to run out and spend it anyway.
Of course the retailers will be running more ads than they did at Xmas trying to get everyone to spend, spend, spend, and the politicians will be claiming we're in a recession and how much they can "help" us. The kind of help they can give, I don't want.

Think we're in a recession? Try getting a parking spot near the front at the mall or a table at a restaurant. Economic slowdown maybe. Recession by definition? Not so much.

Debt free except the house in "08" and can't wait.
