yesterday i dropped my cell phone in the toilet
unfortunately they could not get my saved numbers out of it
you guys have to call me @ the same number so i can capture your numbers again ( that is ifn's you still wanna be my friend :))
jeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, what a pain in the ass!

Put that sucker in a bag of white rice for a few days and maybe you can retrieve the numbers. Worked on mine when I dropped it through a drain grate at work.

Good reason to sync every phone you have to a computer. If my phone gets ruined I can pull everything from Outlook Contacts, and in most cases just resynch them back into the phone.

What about a washer?

I had two phones about a year apart go through the wash. My Verizon store now carries a o-ringed phone they claim can be dropped into liquids and is fine. Personally haven't tried it( with mine, yes I purchased one of them) but visited with a highschool friend this past wk.end who set this phone (made by CASIO) into a gin and tonic with no problems. Verizon also has a free feature where everyday your contacts are uploaded to their data base and if your phone is destroyed you can have them send these to you. Might check that one out with your mobile provider to see if they have something similar.

US Cellular has a back up system so my numbers are SAFE! I think. :groucho:
