Over the last 2 years I have decided to give the new shaft technology a try.

I used each shaft for every league session exclusively for 1 season.

Here are the results:

Based out of 8 points possible per game.

Predator Z2
2019 league season
Games: 76
Wins: 48
Loses: 28
Total Ball +- for season: +97
Ball avg per game: 7.04

Diveney Trans K kielwood
2020 league season
Games: 64
Wins: 32
Loses: 32
Total Ball +- for season: +35
Ball avg per game: 6.45

Go Custom carbon fiber
2021 league season
Games: 64
Wins: 45
Loses: 19
Total Ball +- for season: +124
Ball avg per game: 7.11

I still think I like the Predator Z2 the best out of all of them but some interesting results.

Interesting. Your competition & practice time may have more to do w/ these results than the shaft material. Same group of guys? Same game?

Yep same group of guys. I would say practice time ( or lack there of )has been pretty consistent over the years. I typically only play once a week and maybe a tourney every now and then on weekends.

All games are 8 ball.

It this ball average per game just how many balls you sank in 8 ball on average win or lose, or the run out average? Seems you have a lot of parity in the league if you end up close to 8 balls even in losses which show a battle to the last few balls. My ball average for last night was probably 4 but that is due to both me and my opponent running out the game with most of the balls left on the other side, so one game he would run them all and I have mine on the table, 0 for me, next game I break and run 8 for me, average of 4 LOL

I like that you tried out a shaft this way as a way to test them. I tend to swap around with a few shafts almost the same as you, I have a Z shaft, a few custom shafts with 2 being Keilwood, and a Revo CF shaft. But I swap them out really on a whim LOL. The ball per game average is probably the best thing to keep track of vs wins/looses since that can change with where you play, who you play, new players coming in that are better or worse, etc.. just a lot of variables. This is why I think long term "ghost" play is good for keeping track of progress, or a game like Bowliards. You are only playing vs yourself and your last high average and should be doing it on the same equipment each time.

Balls per game is average # of balls you make in games you get to shoot. If someone break and runs out it doesn't hurt you but helps them (stat-wise, still stings mentally lol). This might be where the disparity comes from.
