Hi every one,

It is early here and I spell poorly (sorry).

I just recieved my lessons in Nine Ball Friday. I just wanted to say to start with, the book looks very good. It seems quite easy to follw, and I like the way Mr. Sapolis writes. The digrams are clean as well. As I start to study the book a little more I will add any new updates.

And as a side note. I think that we should try to help any of the pros out there in any way we can (without loosing are homes). Just a thought.

No offense intended, and I got a chuckle out of your post. But I think this is the first book review I have read that was done BEFORE the book was read! (you will find it to be an excellent book)

Thanks Neil. Everybody I have talked to has been pleased with this version of the book. The spiral bound version makes it extremely easy to bring it with you to the pool hall and lay it down flat - which was very important for me. I am very happy with the production of the book - I am working with a very good company!

The next book will be the 14.1 book - I have hit a few legal snags which are being taken care of as we speak, but I expect to have it ready soon.

I wasn't aware that you had a nine ball book out, I was only aware of the upcoming 14.1 book. How do we get your 9-ball book? And any comments on how it's different than, say Byrne's books or Phil Cappelle's book on 9 ball?

The book is available at the following link:

LESSONS IN 9 BALL

It is avaliable in hard copy and E-book download.

The other books by Byrne and Capelle are excellent and I recommend both of them. The difference with my book is that it is written from a player's perspective and I deal with different aspects of the game than the other books, as well as drills, the mental game, the break, reading the rack, safeties, etc.

I have also produced this book with a spiral binding so that it can be used easily at the pool hall - it lays down flat - there are hundreds of illustrations and lots of information. There is also a preview of the book at the website.

Just let you an others know, I am working with Cuetable.com on the 14.1 book - I am unable to use the original diagrams in the re-publishing. That is why the book is being held up. I spoke with Wei earlier this week and he gave me the green light to use the cuetable to complete these diagrams in a timely manner. (Thanks Wei!)

The book (Stroke of Genius) will also have to be re-titled - I'll keep everybody updated on that in this forum and in the straight pool forum.

As far as the new title goes... I have narrowed it down to 4 titles...

Straight Pool 101
Blackjack's Guide to Straight Pool
Straight Pool Info, Tips & Techniques

or... my personal favorite...

Straight Pool Cures They Don't Want You To Know About

I might start a poll in the straight pool forum and let the forum members decide on the new name.

I appreciate all the positive feedback I have received from everyone that has purchased the 9 ball book. Thank you!
