Lets put an end to all the bashing threads, no one cares anyway.

it's not so much bashing. the threads that're being talked about (if they're the ones i think they are) serve as warnings. the name calling could have been done without but the meaning is always the same

Ask anyone who knows me, I am totally against any form of bashing. But I do love head butting, I do not beleive in shaking hands. There is no greater bond of freindship then that shared between people who have head butted and broken each others noses!!!!!:banghead: :killingme: So come on down I am easy to find, and I never hide behind a computer!!!!!

You are doing it wrong.

It certainly would not be the first time, however, like I have said a number of times. I don't like dishonest people and I tolerate those who support them even less.

Take care

Yea manwon it would be hard for you to talk smack behind a screen when you post your full name in your sig! I guess some people dont take the time to read posts and automatically think someone likes to talk tough behind a computer screen. I dont think you've ever tried to hide behind a screen!

:yeah: THANK YOU to those that are keeping it real.

As a side note CRAIG is many things and skeered aint one of them:thumbup:

The threads probably get deleted because the people doing the most complaining never had any dealings with Varney. If you have no dogs in the hunt, stay out.

If you have a transaction go bad, make your post in the sticky in the wanted/for sale section. Give a description of what happened and people can go there to research. Walk away with your new found knowledge and let it go.

This sport is facing some tough times and it doesn't help anyone to have this constant bashing on the most popular forum. Many members have good info to share but are reluctant because they see other get bashed. For what? How does that help the sport we all love?

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem!

This whole mess started with a thread whose purpose was to warn, and that was fair and appropriate. Most of the bashing and "piling on" that followed was, IMHO, an emotional response to the infuriating lack of communication and the defensive, hollow "apology" that was tendered.

I'm not saying the bashing is justified (I'm also not saying that it's not), but I do think it's understandable because of the frustrating nature of the situation and the obdurate behavior of the individual in question.

Personal attacks and family references are never okay under any circumstances.

That said, all but the most irrational bashing could have been avoided by KV communicating openly and SINCERELY with Cincyman, or with the forum once it was all made public.

Tom

This is what the "buyer/seller transaction report" in the "wanted/for sale" section is for. If every unhappy Varney customer(*) posted their experience in the appropriate place, in a mature and unemotional manner, people would have their warning. It would be easy to find and we would not have the bashing. We have tools in place such as the transaction report, I-trader, and reps. The sum of the whole should paint a clear picture without flaming a guy in the name warning.

Everybody involved is losing credibility. I would be leery dealing with either side. My interest lies in the forum. If the forum starts losing its appeal, the industry is hurt. The game of pool is hurt. You and I are hurt.

*notice I said "customer" This is a person who actually dealt directly with him to buy a cue.

This is exactly the problem Ryan, when is enough finally enough, and how many people have to be taken advatange of before something is finally done once and for all.

Use the tools on the board when you have a bad transaction! Starting all of these threads does nothing if they get deleted or locked. The sticky of "buyer/seller transaction report" in the "wanted/for sale" section is a tool to warn people of bad deals. That is part of the solution. Starting flaming thread is part of the problem.

I am defending the forum and the process, which only one person has used. Everyone is blaming the mods for not banning KV or doing something about his practices but, heaven forbid, someone follow directions by posting a mature and unemotional statement where it belongs. "transaction report."
