Uh, they've met in one really big spot .... the final of the 2019 US Open 9-ball and Filler took down a very in-form Wu to win the title.
Suggesting Wu is beyond Filler's class is, quite simply, uninformed.

Both are phenomenal players in their own era and are heads and shoulders above the rest of the field out there.
However, i think everyone is sleeping on Franciso Sanchez
The feat that this man just acheieved within a span of one year is unbelievable and imo reached the epitome of pool
And in my humble opinion, this feat wont be broke or even repeated for the next decade or even 2
The man won 4 major titles and all 4 are the holy grails of the game
World 9 ball , world 8 ball , Us Open 9 balland World cup of pool , finishing runner up in the world 10 ball
Basically he reached the finals of 5 World Championship and won 4 of em in the same year
Some pro players play for 20 years and never make it to the finals of a world championship , let alone 4
This guy actually won more world titles than Filler and Wu and he did in in JUST ONE YEAR LOL
Also, this is coming from someone who is STILL not a fan of FSR haha
He’s just such a way too nice guy and im still puzzled by the damage he does on the pool table running racks smoothly without any outrageous agression
Im still attracted to the level of killer agression displayed by Wu and Filler when they are in their zone

Excellent post. FSR's run of excellence is legendary and nobody is playing 9ball at a higher level. He's the man to beat for the majors right now and he's just as classy off the table as on. He looks like a future BCA Hall of Famer to me and I wish him continued success.
I think the upcoming inaugural Matchroom Spanish Open is a fitting tribute to the excellence of FSR and Alcaide, two of pro pool's greatest treasures.
