Can anyone tell me something about Jerry's cues. I saw them at the Midwest Open and spoke with him briefly. How do they play? How is the long term quality? I tried to e-mail him and it was returned unopened. Thanks for your assistance. Jerry, if you read this, please send me a PM.

Yeah the one reason I didn't buy one is I did not know how they hit. I love the look of his cues in the Billiards Encyclopedia. Simple good wood combinations. Gotta love that book...gotta love working seasonal at Barnes and Noble and getting the book at 40%off too. :-)

The 2 McWorters I've had the opportunity to play with both hit good. Were they the best cues I've ever hit with? No, but all that is really subjective... every player has their own preference. He definitely makes a great looking cue and I don't think you will be disappointed with the way they play.

Here are some good examples from Chalkers.com:

McWorter - M168

McWorter - M185

BTW, billiardsexpress.com sells the Billiards Encyclopedia for $67.50 :)

Jerry's cues hit great. One of the finest craftsmen this industry has ever seen. He is an inspiration to all of us.

Since he is out here in Southern California, I've had the opportunity to see and try a number of his cues. He is top flight and a lot of good players use his cues. Definitely a top rep.

I have never had the opportunity to hit a ball with a Jerry McWorter cue but I can tell you that the craftsmanship is absolutely top drawer. His designs, finish and artistic combinations of exotic woods are "as good as it gets". I would rate him within the top 6 custom cue makers in the world.
