Measles Cue Ball??

Does anyone know the difference in the various packaging/types of measles cue balls?

I found this two different packaging of measles cue balls, any difference?

I think this explains it

I’m not sure which package came first ( I believe it was the one on the left ) but a few years ago Aramith sold this ball separately, then took it off the market and began to sell it ONLY with a set of TV balls; recently Aramith began to market the ball separately again. I believe this explains the two types of packaging.

I do know they are heavier then a Super Aramith red dot cue ball. It's just a few grams but you can tell the difference.

I think the procup is 6oz and the red circle is 5.5

The procup is also bogger than most balls which is normal when mixing old balls with a new one. Think of replaced 8 balls


Red circle is easier to draw but if you have stroke, you will be fine.


BTW - I think there is some fakes out there. My pool hall has two different pro cups. Some that yellow like regular arimiths and others that stay real white but they crack under the surface. Some are full of cracks.
