Meucci Collectors

Does anyone on here collect Meucci cues? I started out with a Meucci way back when...and still own three (although they are just old cues I still have...by NO means a collection) that stay stored away in cases at my dad's house.

Nothing rare or collectible, just a sneaky pete, a european series, and an old gambler. Nothing you can't find cheap on ebay these days.

Anyhow, post some pics of those Bob Meucci beauties that you oh so lovingly cherish. Why? Because, as always I want to selfishly enjoy your photos.

Thanks.

Hi Matt,

Here you go: Meucci's

This picture is a little old but I still have most of these. I collected Meucci's before I got into other cues. These old Meucci's have a lot of character. Meucci's are fun to collect - there are so many different models. Just when I think I've seen everything, a new design pops up that I didn't even know existed. I went through a lot of them and kept the best cues.

The Road Agent is a new condition Meucci Original, it was in a shop and never sold. The Piano cue of mine is the model without the keys on the forearm - it's old and almost unplayed. My favorite is the airplane cue and of course the original gambler. I also have a rare Earl Strickland, the first of a model they made. It's the one on Proficient's web site and the only one I've ever seen like it.

The Oldie 1 has Meucci Originals in red - which means it was made for the export market.

Anyway, I don't buy them now but I don't plan on selling the ones I have.

Chris

Thanks for the pics. The older Meucci's are a lot of fun. I love the older models and some of the newer.

Sweet!

You've definitely got to give props to Meucci for all of his original designs. You can ALWAYS spot a Meucci cue from a mile away! He became wealthy from his cues long before Japanese collectors ever took an interest in cuemaking as a collectible (not that they collect Meucci's to be honest), which has made most of the current craftsman quite wealthy.
