Michigan State Tournament?

Just curious, I hear about these State tournaments like in Arizona, florida, Illinois, New Mexico and such.

Does anyone know if Michigan has something similar? If so when it is, or is there a link to it????
 
APA also has a team tournament every year in Nov. or Dec. In the last several years it has been in Romulus for a couple of years, Windsor, Ontario for a couple of years and in Muskegon for the past 3 or 4 years.

Eagles have state tourneys also. Team, Singles, Doubles

Our team won the state team 2 years ago.
 
Moose and VFW also have state tournaments. It is amazing at the quality of players that play in them. The Lincoln Park Moose usually finishes at the top and has also won a few national titles.
 
OK, how about something that I dont have to be a member of lol.


Since there is no league's in my area!

Can i just join VNEA??? and then go play lol.

Where do you live in Michigan? If you don't want to be a member of something it will be tough.

Fred at Golden 8-ball used to have what he called the state bar box championships. whatever happened to that?

He used to draw quite a good group for that too.

Although he did start calling it the Kirkwood open for a while. ;)

Yea, Fred hasnt held any type of decent "OPEN" tournament probably since 2004????

And yes it was still the Kirkwood Open lol!!
