Looks like a lot of cue for $500. Also would like to know why the fast turn around.

Wow, I thought that was a Richard Glenn. He only makes one real fancy cue every decade or so.;) ;)

The quality is good .. The points and inlays are nice.. Not like a James White but comparable or better than a coker.. Shafts need different tips unless you like elkmasters..

I bought two.. Dont need both..

How is the quality? And why are you selling it so fast?

Longmao, a newbie to the forum, posted a sale for a Miranda cue on 4/27. It started quite a discussion on the good and bad points of the cues from the Philippines, which is where the cue was made. Perhaps it is wise to review that discussion to answer your question.

Rather than start a discussion I think it invited a brawl from disgruntled rival cuemakers ;)

Other than the other cuemaker, there were members that had both good and bad experiences with the cues. The information from people that have purchased the cues is helpful to anyone looking to buy these attractive and reasonably priced cues. As for the others, their attitudes betray their objectivity about the quality of the cues and should be viewed as such.

Sadly, that thread had ZERO appraisals by anyone who had played with Miranda cues before. Basically only self-serving cuemakers and/or their associated suppliers posted 'opinions' there.

Perhaps the only information gained was that one person said that after comparing the two, he thought that Viattore is of a slightly better quality than Miranda cues.. heh.

Looking at the picture with the joint screw and shaft ends it appears as if the threads in the shaft on the left are a little ragged and maybe even cross threaded. Something looks bad, it just doesn't look right.

The cue cannot be considered top notch, but it is definitely good enough for the price you are paying. The cue is med stiff generally. Miranda are definitely good cues for the prices. No matter what other people says, you have to look at the cue in person to give it a fair judgement and that is something many dun dare to venture.

I have one

The first one I've ever had. I've had a lot of High end cues. By far the most for the the money. It actually hits great to. You will have to retaper the shafts though and put tips on it. I did that and it plays stiff with little deflection. There nice cues if this helps anybody.
