Ahmma go out on a limb and say Earl has a good chance against Warren K. 'Course no longer the foreigner, he (Warren) could turn Pinoy and blow Earl.

Earl will ALWAYS be Earl. I grew to admire his play in the mid 80's. Even then, he was a bit brash. Was clearly a different time then; not better or worse, just different then than now.
Before that my Dad was my pool hero watching him hustle the bars in S. Philly. Some of those places were pretty shady, but honestly back then arguments were settled with fists, not guns.

How many times did Earl ran 8 or more packs of 10 ball n 9 ball ?
I only heard of the one he ran 11 racks to win the million dollar challenge
Don’t know exact stats, but he routinely put big packages of runouts together.

In one of the streams years ago I heard Tony Robles say there was a tournament in the 90s in which Earl didn’t miss a single ball he was shooting at- that’s amazing

A buddy of mine played Earl in the late 80s. Big tournament, race to 11 I believe, third or fourth round in the winner's bracket. My buddy played perfect pool and had Earl down 9-4 or 9-3. From there, Earl ran the set out in two innings. My buddy had one kick shot in between those innings (which he hit). How do you beat that?

What was really intimidating was Earl's confidence; most shots were two or three strokes and then a big, powerful stroke to rifle the ball into the middle of the pocket. And he played with a fast, free-flowing pace. No stopping after each shot, walking around the table three times and agonizing over every shot the way many players do today. It looked like he could play that was all day long without missing.

I'm not saying a prime Earl would dominate today, but he wouldn't be an underdog against any of today's players.

I've played where I didn't MAKE a single ball I shot at. Or at least it felt that way
i believe Efren did the same thing to Allen H at Tacony Palmyra in 2000 or so. Allen never made a single ball and lost 7-0-Efren didn't run more than a 2 pack if that. I remember thinking Efren could have given AH the 1 out wild and still won 7-0.
