My Connelly set up by SDBilliards

I just wanted to publicly thank Donny Wessels (SDBilliards) for the great job he did on my new, previously owned Connelly 8 footer. Donny is a consummate professional and a true artist. He spent a great deal of time making sure the table was set up just right.

I helped him move the table from its previous owner's upstairs loft, down and around a narrow staircase, past childproof gates out the garage and into his truck. Then from his truck into my house. I really should have known better than to attempt that. The Connelly has 1 1/4" slate and I thought I was going to pass out on him the whole time we were moving the pieces. Donny was patient with me and I survived. I certainly don't recommend moving slate unless you are REALLY sure you can do it! :)

The table plays great and I am really enjoying it, so thank you Donny!

Here are some photos.

1) Previous location
2) 1 1/4 inch slate
3) Pocket work ala RealKingCobra
4) The table with Simonis 860 Tournament Blue

Very nice. The slate looks thicker then 1.25 to me. What ever thickness it is it makes my back ache:). Congrats on the table.

Yeah, picture #2 gave me a hernia. You couldn't so better than have Donny do your set up. :thumbup2: There is just nothing more important than a great mechanic and I don't think people realize there are not that many of them that fall into that category.

That is a good looking table. I especially like the bar rails connecting the legs, and the "turnbuckle" appearance of the leather pockets give the table that fighting look.
