new cloth effect

I bought a used diamond pro and had granito ipt cloth installed with the table. I did expect some sliding and banks going long with the new cloth but it seems excessive. Is Granito particularly slippery? Do I just wait for it to play 'normal' or is there something I can do to now? What I see is that when the cueball comes off the rail it slides noticeably before rolling. Is it possible the rails aren't quite perfect and not a new cloth issue?
Thanks in advance

Granito

Yes it is slippery cloth. That is why alot of people do not like it. Play on it for a littlr while and it will calm down.
Thanks, Ron

How does it compare to 30/30? I had 860 for 8 years and changed to 30/30 and found it faster.

All cloth is slippery or banks a diamond wide when first installed. Depending on how much play it gets every night it should take about a month for it to play like normal. All cloth from cheap to the good stuff does it, once the oils from your hands get on the cloth and balls you will see the difference. You will also notice the pockets seem big now but in a few weeks she will tighten up also balls wont seem to slip in as easily.

I have installed alot of cloth and i will say that the Granito is slippery than the others. As far as speed compares, i think it is faster than Simonis. But remember that the conditions play a factor in that.

I believe that Quick-Clean claims that applying their cleaner can help get rid of new cloth slickness.
