Love this forum. I just joined so please be patient if I tend to miscue at times.
I haven't played seriously since the early 90's but the urge is coming back and even though the eyes are failing me I still love the game. Played leagues a lot in Tampa, Fl during late 80's and early 90's. Hung out at Baker's Billiards and met some good people and bought some nice cues. It's nice to reminisce about the old days sometimes. Does anybody remember cuemakers Rocky Tillis and Wayne Gunn? Rocky passed away years ago but Wayne is still around although he's not making many cues these days.
Anyway, I am selling 3 of my cues on Ebay and would like to also put them in this forum.
I have a Meucci DH-3 Star of David, a Meucci Original 84-6 (I believe) with 2 shafts and a Schon SP-62 with 2 shafts. Not very good photos. I have a bid of $250 on the 84-6. All are in really good condition. Any info on the value of these would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Terry

There is a for sale forum that you should use to list your cues.
Click on AZBilliards forums and it will take you there, Good luck,
and Welcome!

I knew Rocky pretty well and spent hours talking with him. He made me a SP before anyone knew what one was. I thought I had invented it in fact. I wanted it to play in bars and it was perfect. So much so, I more then once got grabbed because people thought I was stealing a house cue.
I knew Bill S. and B.J. and Pete M., T.R. Mr. Kennedy with the pipe. The twins who played so well. I played there when Mr. Baker was still around. Man, they had some good tournaments there back in the 70's, everybody came.

Oh wow do you bring back some memories. I knew Rocky for about a year before he had his stroke. He trained Wayne Gunn. In fact Wayne used to have his shop at Bakers in the late 80's & early 90's. It was up in the front corner. Robby, Bill Stigall and BJ, T.R., Mr. Kennedy, Bill McCorqedale, Corrine Hoffman(I think that was her name), Buddy Hall. Remember when Bill started the pool league? Do you know if Robby is still around?
I don't live there anymore.

bump

you might pm mr wilson to bump this thread over to the f/s section
there is a chance it could get deleted.
best of luck and welcome to azb

I basically gave it up in the early nineties as well but I still have my cue and started getting out occasionally to shoot. I can't shoot like I used to, but I am still very happy to play. I hope that you are not selling all of your cues since you say you still get the itch to play.

.

These are not my playing cues. I bought these way back as collectors items and could use the money now. Wife is not well with heart problems. I'm keeping a few and have a couple cues Wayne Gunn made for me that I play with now.

Thanks. I did list them on the wanted/for sale section. Maybe I should delete from this forum?? Don't want to break any rules.

It was George McCorkindale. Does the name Cull mean anything to you??? Just Curious?
