New (to us) Table - shout out for Barry Emerson (Pro Billiard Service in DFW area)

I recently posted a thread about either putting some money into our old table or upgrading. I ended up buying a table from the mechanic we were going to hire to recover our old table - Barry Emerson of Pro Billiard Service in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Barry was super communicative and generous to share information and knowledge. A really pleasant guy. He and his crew delivered the new (to us) 9' Brunswick Mission table and he replaced the cloth with tournament green (classic). Here are a few pics of our room - not quite finished but the new table is clearly the Belle of the Ball. If anyone is looking to deal with a pro and a nice guy, I can easily recommend Barry. I don't normally publicly promote folks, but he deserves the praise.

💯 Barry is awesome guy , hard working , goes above and beyond to take care of his customers…. He put my table in 2 years ago and it’s perfect to this day….. Hate to throw this out there but he was a champion pool player 20 years ago … He beat them all back in the day 💯, I know he is settled down now so it doesn’t matter if I put it out there but great wow he played great back in the day… great guy

Congrats! Looks great! I didn’t know Brunswick still made the Mission. Anyway, nice to know there is a good mechanic in the DFW area.

Barry was a serious player, a past winner at the U.S. Bar Table Championship when it attracted a long list of top players.

It's a beautiful table. I used to have one just like it. It turned out to be a little big for my space so I downsized to a 7' Diamond. A word of advice -- the pockets on this model are nailed in with tacks. Carefully check the pockets for any tacks that may be standing proud of the leather. When I got rid of the table, the balls I used on that table were nicked badly. If you can feel any tacks, get your mechanic to address the issue. Otherwise, a very nice table.
