Newbie Question - GC1 Cushions

Hello,

Looking to replace the rubber on my Gold Crown 1. (1963)

Current cushions are original Monarch Superspeed. Table is disassembled so I have no easy way to test the elasticity of the cushions. Finally getting the table back together so I would like to replace the cushions now if necessary before reclothing.

What is the closest thing to the original cushions? Can I still order the originals from anyone?

Confused because I read a dimension of 1 1/8" on the top of the cushion meant it was a K66 profile. Yet I've read several threads on here where everyone insists K55s are closer to the GC1 original profile.

PLEASE HELP!
 
I heard that Gold Crown I's had some of the best rubber of any of the Gold Crowns.
I don't know if that is true, and I'm not saying that the rails couldn't go bad.
I play at a room that has I's and the rails still seem to be in decent shape.
Maybe someone with more knowledge on this will chime in.
