I had already marked it on my calender that the next IPT tournament was in Orlando and was Jan 31-Feb 5th. I went to the IPT site to see if they were selling tickets yet and now the event is being listed as TBA for both the date and the venue. Anyone know what happened here?

The IPT Masters' 8-Ball Championship was scheduled for January 31-February 5, 2006.

Other tours promoting events around the country (and the world for that matter) have adjusted their schedule not to conflict with the IPT schedule and now it looks like it is going to change.

The talk is that the next IPT event that was originally scheduled for January 31-February 5, 2006 will now take place sometime in February.

If indeed the IPT has thoughts of changing this event to sometime in February, I hope they have the consideration not to schedule over other established events like the $25,000 added Turning Stone Classic VI event that is scheduled for February 16 - 19, 2006 or the WPBA Carolina Women's Billiards Classic event scheduled for February 22-26, 2006.

I know for a fact that many IPT members have already committed to play in either one or both of these events and it would surely be unfair to not only the players (and fans), but also all involved who have spent countless hours promoting great events such as these.

Today, I read a post from Deno Andrews where he wrote;

We are about having fun and supporting the game. Let's all be nice to each other and watch the IPT grow and prosper. Many of us tend to get too involved in these forums and when we meet each other in person we all tend to be really nice and fun.

I am an IPT fan and I too am all for supporting the game.., let's all watch it grow and prosper!
