Nice read...and interesting

I don't know if this was already posted somewhere on this forum but I thought I might share it... I also can't say the facts are real but those who love Adam company may shed some light...

Enjoy history.

I wouldn't bet all my money that the story, as written, is 100% factual (Larry has a propensity to prevaricate), but it is pretty much on track from what I know and have picked up over the years.

I've talked to Larry and Don Spectar, several times, and actually met Dick Helmstetter when he ran the Adam factory and lived in Japan...I lived there at the same time.

Adam cues are some of the best production cues made (or, were). I have played with (not owned) several over the decades and they were always quality cues. I own one of the last Hall Of Fame cues that were made by Adam in Japan and it is top notch.

Helmstetter knows cues.

I played with my HOF shaft on my Titllest and HOF cue yesterday and that shaft hits real good. It has a shorter taper than most of the cues made now. People with a closed bridge usually prefer a longer taper when playing rotational games.

I read with an open mind, but the person must suffer from OCD which makes it unbearably hard to read.
Also I somehow did only read a lot of complaining... and not a single attempt to keep the seemingly great product alive (e.g. open up factory near the distrubutor, easing quality control, time to market and having full control over the process).

But hey... to each their own. Chinese can do CNC, for sure...
