I was in Owensboro yesterday (Tuesday) having some work done on my cues by Chad Carter. Afterwards I stopped in at Rack n'Cue and visited with Nick Varner for awhile. Hadn't been there for 3-4 years and it was good to see him again. I bought some chalk and a new glove while I was there.
I did ask Nick one playing question. Obviously it was about straight in shots. I set up a fairly long straight in shot and asked him if I was aligned straight and he told me to move just a hair to the right. And then he pointed out that I didn't move a hair to the right - all I did was move the cue a hair to the right. I wonder if that's causing my problems with the long straight-in draw shot?
Anyway, it was good to see Chad and Nick again. Looking forward to my next visit one day down the road. Both seemed to be doing quite well!
