Take a look at these pictures, and you'll know why! This is just one of the corner pockets. If I had to look at a corner pocket like this everytime I played a ball, it would just throw my game off forever!

The mechanic had replaced the Diamond cushions with Brunswick Super Speed cushions, which was his first mistake, but the second mistake, was the fact that he couldn't cut the cushions straight in any of the pockets! The corner pocket openings were about 5/16" to 3/8" different in size as well.

I pulled the cushion off one side already with almost no effort, but notice the wrinkle in the bed cloth at the side pocket?

I sure wouldn't mind taking this guy's hand held staple gun and using it on him a few times:grin:

Overall finished slate look. Yes, this is the gluing method I use along with a 3" stretch from side to side.

One other thing guys, Brunswick Super Speed cushions are not interchangeable with Diamond cushions just so you know. Brunswick Super Speed cushions are not a K55 or a K66 profile cushion, as they are 1 1/4" and 1 1/8" inches respectively. Brunswick Super Speed is a 1 3/16" cushion. Installing Brunswick cushions on a Diamond changes the playing surface by 1/8" inches wider, and the point of the cushion does not line up at 1 7/16" playing height, it turns out higher at 1 1/2". The closest to Super Speed is the Artimus Intercontinental K55 if you don't want to use the Super Speed cushions on a Brunswick table. I could get into other specifics but I'll pass at this time:D

Glen

PS, I did change the cushions back to Diamond's K55 cushions, and recut all the pockets again to 141 x 12 down angle for the corners and 102 x 12 down angle for the side pockets.

Ouch

That is ugly Glen! Bet you run into it all the time. Got a call from Greg - he said he got me a new table and its out of the factory and on the way! Cant wait for you to set that bad boy up. Well have to play some too if you have the time.

Chris

Now you know...

why I waited for you to come to Texas. Now you've gone and spoiled me. Better hurry up and get some of these so-called mechanics 'round here up to snuff.

That work was in Abilene, but the whole state of Texas is like that, not enough tables with horns on them I guess...LOL

Glen

I've seen cleaner arena work in that area than that table got subjected to....lol

Now if this isn't just about a perfect example of night and day with Glen coming along to fix something up, I don't know what is!
Kinda like the difference in preschool crayon art on the fridge, and the Mona Lisa....RKC style!lol
