Good day to one and all.

I ask Mike a couple of days ago if we could start this new topic. I figured it would be lots of help for those in need. Maybe all of us can learn something from one another.

I have been building and selling my own machinery world wide for several years now.

My stuff works very well. I'm sure others have good machinery also.

Please folks, if we can, let us use this only for learning about machinery, how to use differant machines, tooling and cue machining in general with differant types of machinery. There are lots of guys who can contribute much on this topic. I look forward to visiting with each of you.

Please keep it clean and informative about cue machinery.
Got questions? Ask away, I'll do what I can for you guys.
thanks
blud

PS, Most of you folks know that I design, build and sell many machines. This is not a paid advertisement.....It's just a topic that will help others move ahead, and build better products................Not meant to offend anyone..

Blud, Sorry to get off topic but I noticed that you are also an expert billiard mechanic. I am also a mechanic and enjoy "talking tables". Do you think Mike would make a forum section for Billiard Mechanics? There are alot of people in need of help and alot of times the threads don't get the exposure in the main forum. There arent too many real good mechanics out there. Luring them to one section of the forum would be quite beneficial to the other members of this site.

Again, sorry to be off topic...

I do look forward to reading posts in this section. I went to Dickies place in cincinnati and he has an arsenal of machinery that he built. I was absolutely amazed at the size of some of his lathes. One of them looked big enough to turn a telephone pole down to size :) I can't imagine the work that is involved in not only building but maintaining these awesome pieces of machinery you guys build.

Blud - Does Mike plan on moving some of the related threads from the, "Ask The Cuemakers", section to this one?. Thanks. :)
To Ton's and poolschool,
I don't know what Mike would do. Perhaps both of you can E-mail him and see what you folks can work out.

8 Shafts Or 8 Butts

GLAD to see this section! i want to tell everyone i,am now building 2 cnc machines 1 cuts 8 shafts or butts in 1 pass and hangs on the wall. the cues are loaded verticaly and cut verticaly the machine uses 1 blade to cut all shafts or butts it has a vacaum system to pull out all shavings and the same blade can be reset from side to side so you can use the same blade many times each time its reset its now on a new section of the blade just like installing a new one hard to explain but simple to do. also with the cues being cut verticaly theres no presure on the center of the butts or shafts from gravity like on a horizonal lathe are saw machine which means there cut in a relaxed state. the machine measures 18 inchs wide 42 inchs tall and 12 inchs thick and can be mounted on the wall great for smaller working areas were room is a concern. it will take 38 passes to do what a single cue unit would have to take 300 passes to do that sure helps when starting out with 100 dowells to rough out for shafts. its only about a 1/4 of the way done but is all worked out i,ll let everyone know how it cuts . the other cnc is for cutting recut or single cut forearms with veneers useing a 3 inch v cutter and is almost completed i,ll post pics of both once there completed.
