After a long search I found a nice blank to get a titlist conversion with my specifications. Now the blank is in the work to join his new life.
I decided to share some of the pics with you.

I'm not sure for the wrap at the moment. You can see dark brown eel on the pictures. Want to give eel a chance but not sure if the color is the right one to match the cue. Let me know what you're thinking.

if you can leave it wrapless ,it would look good.by the way ,the color of the wood along with your joint colars already mahes a nice package.i really like it so far.your wrap looks black to me and if it is i would choose another because you cue is really nice, perhaps you should sell it to me

ditto what deanoc said, leave it wrapless if possible and your wrap looks black to me. If you are going to put a wrap on it the pimp in me says brown lizard or alligator.

your lucky you did not have to add any wood.

pls show us pics of what you decide on.

thanks

There are so few Titlists that are able to be converted as a wrapless, whether it be a warp in the handle area, or bad point bottoms...that when you find one that is suitable, it almost a travesty to put a wrap on it.

I have to vote with the others...no wrap.

wrap seciton

I decided to need a 30inch butt and the cue got other piece of brazilian rosewood for the butt section. The grain of the rosewood is the killer and after I got the first pics I thought about a wrapless cue. The problem is that 2 little cracks are in the butt that will be under the wrap. That's my problem now. You won't see it without the finish. But the cracks are filled with glue and after the finish you will see them. Also the cue has two sections to get the length that will be shown if it will be wrapless. That's my problem at the moment.
I also used to play with leather wraps. So I'm looking to get some new impressions. Because I know the stack leather, lizzard, leg of ostrich and now I wanted to get a nice brown eel on the cue. Thats the leather you can see on the pictrues and it is a dark brown. That's my other poblem. Think it won't match the style of the cue with the brown phenolic collar and buttcap. Think I'll decide for a nice brown-lizzard.
Or does anybody have a matching piece of brown eel for my baby.
Thanks for the sell it advices butt I think this will be one of my 'never leave me bofore dead' cues again.

By the way, this is the look of the butt

In that case...because of the 'old school' feel of the overall design, I would recommend going with a white with green speck linen...like the old Cortland linen...but that is just my opinion...for what it is worth.

I reluctantly retract my last statement. That is a gorgeous wrap. If it suits your shooting style, you should dive in head first.

My choice

Green with white dash lennin. The old brownish black pattent leather looking pig skin would be a doozie too of course with a brown bumper!

...and of course no rubber bumper but an allen screw for the butt.

Nice work so far, Jürgen! Keep us informed...

Wrap style

Hi guys,
thanks for the coments on the wrap.

@Lisa: this is a nice style option but I'm not a fan of linen. Like the feel of leather in my butt-hand. So I think I'll choose a leather.

@nick: also a nice option for the wrap. Thanks for bringing this into my mind.

@deanoc + impact blue: this leather looks nice but I don't like the grain of it for a wrap. Would be better for a nice case.

@DrPool (Volker): the style of the cue will be with a chorme screw to that will be plain with the buttcap. As option to save the butt during the play I can screw in a old brown brunswick-bumper. Think this will fit the old school style of the cue perfect.

Can tell you how hard it is to get a desicion at the moment.

This is my favorite for the wrap at the moment:

Joined the lizzard

Hi folks,
thanks for the advices on the wrap. Was a hard shoot on it. But at least the lizzard makes the race. Hope you enjoy the final result on the titlist. Looks great and plays great. Thanks again to KTM for another great playing cue for me. But now enjoy the pics. Hope they're not to bad taken.

Great choice!

Good thing you had such a hard time deciding on what to wrap your Titlist with, it gave you the opportunity to find the perfect combination for it.

The way it looks now is just the right blend of colors, wrap color and texture. Hope you have a good time playing with it, it probably could make the balls drop just out of appreciation for being hit by such a beautiful cue.

Sure would keep this one if it were mine!!!!
