Olhausen Table In A Garage

My neighbor has an Olhausen 3 piece slate 7 footer in his garage. The garage doesn't have heat or AC in it. We live in Maryland so the temperature can get pretty low like 12 degrees or lower at times outside. Will this do sever damage to the pool table? At this time that is the only place to put it since he only has a one bedroom house. In June he is having his current house knocked down and a new one built with room on the bottom or top floor. The current house is only one story also. The new house will be 3 floors with an walk around attic. I suggested that when the new house is built he move the table inside of the house. He got it for a steal ball's and all and new green. We have had a lot of fun on it and I've used it to practice on for over a year until he brought a corvette so now we only shoot on it when the vett is out of the garage which isn't often. Can anybody give me some reasons to help me persuade him to move it into the new house??? THANKS...

Mike

I am puting a 9' Brunswick Gold Crown IV in my garage within 2 weeks and it does not have heat or AC and I am in Boise ID. Gets pretty cold and hot here. Glen (akaRealKingCobra) said to save your rails use an electric blanket under the cover of the table. Obviously it is going to be better for a table to be in doors but I dont think it will do it any major damage.
