Olio Gold Crown Copy Frame

What are you interested in knowing? I have one in storage, but I'd need to move too much junk to get to it.

I have a photo of a Buffalo frame I could send you instead, which is pretty much exactly the same as an Olio.

Please share the Buffalo frame. Thanks.

That looks just like a Gold Crown, at least to me it does. Except for the square cut corners and the bolt heads in the end. I guess the wood and lay out look the same.

The middle section is missing 1 support in the pic.

I guess they don't match as well as I remember, here is my GCI.

my older table has a metal rod beside those planks , tightening it draws everything together and stiffens the structure. the wood had shrunk a tad in length in over 100 years, so I added a shim there.. like at the ends of that missing plank to make up for the shrinkage. . worked fine.. then the bolt wont bow the ends so much.
probably not necessary, never was obviously.

If you added a long Redi-rod there it wouldn't be original , might add stiffness if it didn't get in the way of anything else.. might bug someone that's worried about authenticity.

Wait bit and that jerk will jump in and start ranting that no-one knows anything.. he keeps doing that. I didnt ask his permission if I could post here ;-) he doesnt; like that.

Rent free. 🤣

The frames on Olios aren't as stout as GC's but overall they make a good product. Only played on one and it had new Superspeeds installed and i thought it played great.
