I had a player do the same thing to me once! As the cueball amazingly did not fall in the pocket, the player immediately began to play his next shot. I stood up, walked over and picked the cue ball up during his back stroke. I told him to sit down and I took ball in hand and ran out. He never said a word. That was the last time we played despite his constant pestering.
Rules are meant to be adhered to. Not broken to see if the other player knows them. That's cheating, plain and simple.

You guys are being a little ridiculous. I know Pablo pretty well. I've played him many times in tournaments. The guy is not the guy you guys are making him out to be. Okay, so he stuck his hand in the pocket (if that's what really happened). I believe him when he says that if he knew he fouled he would have given the guy ball in hand. Why try to make a guy look bad? Honest mistakes happen. Why not tell the guy he fouled and then let him show his true character instead of just sitting there quietly and assuming that he purposely cheated you? You guys are out of line.
Anyway, that's all I have to say, so don't bother trying to get me into a little flame war.
