Congratulations to Pedro Piedrabuena for winning the Panamerican (CPB) Championship in 3-cushion. Hugo Patino finished in 6th. They, along with six other top CPB finishers will represent the CPB and their countries in the World 3-Cushion Championships which will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, November 11-15, 2009. More details on the results at the CPB championship, which was in Buenos Aires, will be posted as they become available.

If you have an excuse to go to Switzerland this November, I urge you to see the World Championships. Lausanne is a beautiful town, their metro construction will be finished by then, and the host Federation has arranged hotels for $93/night, single, including tax and breakfast. The Olympic Museum is there, and they have mountains. See http://www.cmb2009.ch/championnat-du-monde.html for more info.

Really happy for Pedro. This will improve his international ranking. Hope this means he will play more in Europe. IMO, he has the ability to become a top ranked player.

And... you'll never meet a nicer guy!
