Hello I was brought this cue for a complete restoration. It was purchased at a Garage sale by a good customer of my business. I am uncertain who made this cue, however I kinda think it is a early Palmer due to the Stainless steel joint and the Brass pin.

Over all the cue is in pretty good condition considering it's age, and the butt and shaft are still perfectly straight.

I have included the following photo's of the cue, if anyone can identify it, or if anyone has information or thought's about it's possible origin I would be grateful!!!

Hey Joe, thanks for the information!! What model is it, and which catalog is it from?

Thanks Craig

1st catalog Palmer

Looks like some one loosened the weight bolt and everythig plastic moved a little.
Nick :)

It looks like an early model #9. The ferrule also appears to be a screw on type. Check and see if it is. I can't tell if the brass pin has a dimple in the end of it, but if it does then it is one of the first ones produced according to Tate. Show pics when you get it done. I have two of them just like it. Nice full spliced butts!!

Thanks for sharing.

The ferrule is a screw off, however, it was glued. I spun it in the lathe and burnished it with a piece of leather, and heated the glue. I like the design of the metal screw and no wooden tenon. I am going to have to experiment with this a little bit. The pin however, is round no dimple, but I think over all this a early example, Chris said, that he suspects the cue from 1966.

Thanks for the input, and have a great day!!!!
