As I reported last week, or maybe it was the week before I was to pick up some custom made Orthotics from the doc Friday. I did and they have been switched back, and forth between my shoes.

When I went to pick they up the Podiatristswas kind of puzzle that there we not stiff. Them as she was not the same person I say last time, read my chart, and said oh. You have two BAD KNEES! PLUS FLAT FEET!

Well as I have about 20 hour use with the new orthotics I would rate them a 6 out of 10, as they have not reduce my foot pain to ZERO, but have brought it down my foot pain a couple of notches.

Before getting the custom orothotics, I tried Power Steps had my problem been only feet, with no knee involvement. The Power Steps should have helped.

My buddy uses Power Steps, and he said the trick to getting use to them was first day only 2 hours, and them he increase the time in shoe every could of days. He said they we about 29 Bucks, and love how they give better support than his shoe alone.

I wore the power steps (or some thing similar) when I had a heel spur. It took about two months but the heel spur eventually went away. My physician says I have osteo (bone based) arthritis. That little dounut shape in the heel is quite the trick -- at least for me.

After two months or so I went back to my regular shoes and have not had any more problems.

I have neuropathy. NB shoes made on the SL1 last work well for me.

I saw a TV show About a Group of Natives that run long distances BARE FOOT over very ruff ground. However the story was more about how they run or walk compared to us. We strike our heel first and roll to the Ball of our Foot. They run/walk bare foot so the Ball of the foot strikes first and have no foot problems.

As a young man I broke a heel bone as well as many other bones as a Tumbler. But it is only the Heel bone that gives me problems now that I am in the December of life. I shoot pool bare foot and find I can go a longer time before the Pain sets in.

When I was in High School I Ran on both the Cross Country, and Track Team, I was a long distance guy. I did not have money for proper show, so I most competed BARE FOOT. I grew up in So. Cal near the Ocean, surf a lot and love the Bare Foot thing.

You must not of have a real BAD HEEL SPUR, as I have had for 6 months now. After seeing an orthopedic surgeon and trying all of that heel crap and anti-inflammatory cream, nothing worked.

Until I read about and tried EZorb (92% absorbable without other supplements such as vitamin D and magnesium).

Heel spurs are caused by your body not having enough calcium and leeching calcium from your feet and other parts of your body. On my xray I had other calcium deposits on the side of my foot too.

This sound illigical, putting more calcium into your body, but at my pain level I was willing to try anything. After reading user internet comments (I know this sounds illogical too) I decided to buy 6 months worth for around $250. After 3 weeks the sh!t starting working and after 1 month I am 80% better. I am taking as suggested about twice the normal dosage.

MBT shoes worked for me

I dont know what you specific story or problems are but these shoes (MBT) worked wonders for me.

I have walked almost 5,000 miles with a full backpack, mostly on the Pacific Crest Trail. Now 15 years later I have developed foot, knee, lower back pain from all of the miles. I tried 10 different chiropractors till I found the right one for me. My pelvis gets off level from compensating for the foot pain, mainly the HEEL STRIKE. with your pelvis off a little one leg hits the earth sooner than the other leg. So after trying all different kinds of shoes, New Balance, ecco, adidas, I had good luck with Nike Shox. the only problem was they wear out in about 6 months. So I got five pair to rotate so they had rest days in between. That worked for about two years but the heel strike kept coming back. Shox $125 plus two sets of insoles $65 and I was buying my shoes 2 sizes bigger for the added cushion room size 15-16 hard to find. I went to "the walking store" to try to get some insoles and the dude had me take off my shoes and stand on a computer linked pressure scale? that shows where your problems are. Anyway now I bought from him these MBT (MASSAI BAREFOOT TECHNOLOGY) $225 AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM SINCE. The technological difference is that these shoes have a foam wedge under your arch that your foot rolls over as you walk. they say its similar to walking on beachsand how your heel digs in and creates a lump of sand for your foot to roll over as you walk. I have since bought 3 more pairs of these shoes($85-125) on ebay and have forgotten how bad I used to hurt. No more heel strike- knee jaarrr hipp hoppp pain. I even have been able to cut back seeing my chiro to every 6 weeks to get my neck cracked.. Any way I hope this info helps you, I have lived with my share of pain and problems but now am pain free. Good Luck

Ps i saw a commercial and sketchers and other shoe companies are copying mbt idea

Then running in high heels should help as it seems that women wearing them set their toe down first.
