I see.. so the early bird doesn't get the ring game, it's extra. I still contend that the start times should be plainly evident on the flyer, so even an idiot like me can figure it out...

Some Thoughts
Scott Rabon is an excellent one-pocket commentator - and there aren't that many really good ones. Thanks Scott for all your work.
Race to 7? A race to 5 is a LONG race in one-pocket. 7 seems insane. My guess is that the play will degrade significantly towards the end of the matches and towards the end of the tournament. We can even see that happening in races to 5.
True double elimination? That is great for little tournaments like bar tournaments for amateurs with short races. For major tournaments and Pro's it doesn't really make sense. More often than not the player from the loser's bracket has beaten more players and sometimes some of the best players to get to the finals. And yet he has to beat the winners bracket player twice?
