Hi Monski,

I recently bought the Jazz cue that Shorty had for sale. It's a great cue, but a little light for me. It seems like you're pretty tight with Tony. Do you know whether a weight bolt is available for Jazz cues? Thanks!

Regards,

Steve

Yes we are friends. I have a few cues on order (already paid-just waiting for the finished product) at the moment as I feel the guy has tremendous talent. He really make structurally sound cues with a good value for money. He's also going into resin impregnated shafts soon with a lifetime warranty.

He's now making his own pins, SS collars, mixes his own carbon fiber and other ring and joint materials.

Bolts can be made available. You can email him at tonybautistacues@yahoo.com or I can relay info if you want as he has a poor command of english. ;)

or I can ask what kind of bolt (thread) should be placed on your cue so you can check what's available there... ;)

Thanks for the reply, Monski! If you could find out, I would sure appreciate it. My Tagalog is probably much worse than his English... If I can get something locally, great, or if I need to get something from him, that would be OK, too. I need to add an ounce. I really appreciate your help!

Regards,

Steve

ok, I will try to see if he's awake already (7:30 am here) by texting his cellphone. Hopefully I can get back to you this am. ;)

The size is 3/8 X 16. You can have a local guy make you a pin to make it convenient. A lighter material like aluminum will give you a longer pin as opposed to SS or brass or plain metal (now my mind is palying on the idea of a plastic weight bolt -- just thinking aloud). Just depends on how you want the weight distributed and how much of the cavity you want filled up... ;)
