If race to 5- 9 ball is a coin flip, meaning 50%/50%, then why has Europe won 6 MC's in a row? Team U.S.A. better check that coin. Johnnyt

It isn't a coin flip its just mistakes are punished more than great shots are rewarded. USA made some really bad mistakes especially in the safety department. They also made some wonder shots. Europe seemed to me to play steady throughout. Not many mistskes, not many wonder shots. Nice and simple all throughout.

typo.

I meant 21 races to 5 in my first post....

I fixed it.

When two players play there is a smidgeon of difference between them....so small that we call it a coin flip....because either player can win....in one set....because their playing ability difference is so small. BUT.....when they play several sets.....that smidgeon shows up....revealing that a 'coin flip', that we use to describe the set, is not actually true. There is a difference....that may not show up in one set....but will if they play enough sets.

So in a race to 21 with the score tied 16-16 is also called a coin flip.
Looks like Efren coin flip the shit out of Earl in that challenge and Alex coin flip the shit out of Shane

I would think American players would have a huge advantage in the Mosconi cup format. Its basically amateur league pool on steroids meaning each individual has a limited number of games to play.

League pool or most amateur tournaments are all about you having to play good right out of the gate and early mistakes are punished far more than a longer pro tournament or gambling match format.
