Repost!!!!!

I guess I posted this the wrong way before...... This table isn't for sale. I just thought it was neat and was sharing it. Mostly just to see what people thought of this old table. We are just going to fix it up and make it look as new as possible..........and keep it around the shop as a conversation piece. Sorry about posting it the other way..........I guess it looked like I was trying to find out what it was worth for sale..............I just wanted to see what people thought it was worth. Cause to me it is priceless cause you not going to see one of these everyday. So check out these pics and tell me what ya think about it!

Is that cloth or is that a bare table bed (Looks to me like pressed wood, but perhaps its just the picture...just wondering)
also, interesting rail system.... approximately what year is this from?

Just a suggestion...
I used to work in an Antique store for about 3 years! If you are going to refurbish it, I highly recommend that you just wipe the wood clean then apply a beeswax polish to the wood. Don't strip it and then reapply a varnish to it. I wouldn't paint the legs either, just use some metal polish or a rust remover (if these are metal legs). Keep it as close to "original" condition as possible, that will hold its value.
As far as value as an Antique....
Considering it is in original condition and you still have the original "paper" tag/logo with it. Anything, well almost anything that is paper, cardboard or plastic that is still in contact, readable and discolored (such as this tag) is worth a little more on the Antique resale market.
Just a little Antique advice...

...Zim
Just a little Antique advice.

Yeah....I don't plan on making it look new. Just gonna clean it up and polish it. New cloth and what ever I can do to it, without doing to much to affect the Antique aspect of it. llllllllllllllll Finally a responce.....lol!

""""""I can ID the table for you, I have the original sales brochure on it, it used to sell for $7. If you start being a little nicer to me, I'll email it down to you. """"""
I never ment to not be nice to ya............I was only goofin with ya if I remember. Just tryin to make a funny comment to ya. Sorry if it came out wrong. No disrespect ment. We found this table on ebay for just about nothing. A little more than it cost new....lol. If you have a pic of the brochure I would like to see it...........That is if you can forgives me! LOL............I swear I didn't mean to offend ya..........Just goofin with ya about the guy that was raggin on ya.

My friend is looking for a snooker table. here in orlando, florida.
right now he has two 4 by 9's in his living room, wants the snooker table in one of his bed rooms. hoping to open a place to for some of our close friends to play at anytime of day in night. and get some friendly money games going. me and him love to play with the big ball on the snooer table. now thats some tight pockets.

I'll ask him tonight or sunday sometime. what the price of the table you can PM if you like.

It is a friend of mines............I think he wants like 1200 or 1300. It is in great shape..........It was in a pool room we owned a few years ago. Then in storage for a few years, and the set up in a home. So it has very little play. Great shape. I will talk to the guy in a day or 2 and make sure about the price. MINUS DELIVERY LOL!

Rough shape........Plus you need to see the table in person. Or I would. You can't tell what shape the slates are in. With that style table....the rail bolts are into the edge of the slate.....T-BOLT style I guess is what they call it. And those type of slates usually don't fair well over the years. You really need to see what shape they are in before you buy it. And judgeing from the shape of the outside.......I would bet the slates are just as bad if not worse.

true true, I wouldnt buy it looks cool though or just old looks cool to me i guess.

I have an 8 foot A E Schmidt table that is the same style made back in the 30's. Only want 1000 for it. lol...............Can ya tell I got kicked off my usual poker site. I had an extra account and evidently you can't do that....LOL. Now I got to much time to look and post here!

If you're still interested in a 6x12, E-Mail me. I can let you know about a few of them in the Detroit area. Could make a deal and drop it off on the way to Naples.
