Revo 12.4 Radial conversion to 7/16 - 11 pin thread.

Is there a proper way of having it done? I'm not happy how mine came out. I "believe" mine was drilled a bit more and just rethreaded. There's quite a bit of wobble as I screw it in. I thought the right way was to put a plug in it and then rethread it. I found that procedure online

Any thoughts. Suggestions. Can it be fixed / done again?

Thank you

Yes it can be done again.
Are you talking about a standard 7/16x11 or a modified, for a Cognoscenti?
There is a difference and the joint on the Cognoscenti is around .855 I think.
What do you have?

If the correct steps were taken, the shaft did not have to get plugged because you were going to a larger joint screw. Assuming that the existing joint set up was for the radial.
Now, it would have to get plugged and start fresh.
It was a radial pin to begin with. So it was done correct then or it must have a plug?

Reads like your current situation is that you’re wobbling, so now you’ll need to plug and retap with a Cog tap.

Here is the info on the specs from Alton when he was making JP’s for Cogs.

I've done one Revo converted for Cog thread.
I don't even have 7/16 11 tap.
I used a phenolic insert.
Drilled/bored it then live threaded.

I made a mock-up first to make sure it fit right.

Yours now, as already mentioned, needs to be redone.

If you could make it live threading, you do not have to plug it. Just bore hole larger and do live threading. Using tap would make thread wobble.
