Were the joint protector's and 2nd shaft made a different time than the cue & original shaft? The brown natural phen used on the jp's & 2nd shaft are a different shade of brown. The natural linen is somewhat hard to match up due to it turning different shades with age.

My guess is that this cue came with one shaft, hence the matching natural phenolic on one of the shafts. Richard usually only makes one shaft unless it is a fancier cue or you specifically ask for 2 shafts. Same goes for joint protectors. Richard used the brownish phenolic on some cues recently (past year) but did not like it very much so he quit using it. I would be interested to see what year this cue was make.

Yes your correct I got the cue in feb. From from a women who had just lost her husband. He had ben collecting cues for 40 years. And she was selling off his collection. I found it odd only one shaft and no jp's. I contacted richard harris in feb.He made the 2nd shaft and jp's. He told me the new phonolic would be darker but will lighten to match in time.
feel free to contact Richard to verify. 2nd shaft and jp's just came in last week. Thanks Jack

upset azer's

It seems that I have upset cretain azer's who will remain nameless.I'm very sorry. Like I have said many times. I have not ben a member for too long. And this was the very first time I have posted anything. I'm not familiar with the way these transaction are conducted. and the proper process. from what I have learned from one unhappy azer's. The first one to reply has first dibs. Again please try and understand you guys all know how this is done. And I'm just learning as this Is my first time doing this.
and in the process I have upset some azer's. I could of sold the cue to many buers in my area. But thought It would be great fun selling It this way. Again please forgive me. I have listed the cue and have ben as honest as I know how. My only fault is being a beginner at this.

Thanks to all who understand Jack
