Well I would certainly try it before I bought it if I could. They do jump and yes you could be very successful once you get used to it , but I think there are better alternatives IMO I've found the ones with phenolic tips/ferrulesare MUCH easier than the ones with brass ferrules or anything else for that matter. The Bunjee cues work great, as do the Lucasi jump cues. There are also very good jumpers in the full length J/B from any one of a num ber of cuemakers
The first cue listed is their own line. I own one and it comes with two shafts. One with the phenolic ferrule and tip for breaking and the other with a short ferrule and phenolic tip for jumping. It is the most simple jumper I've personally tried. Can't beat the bang for the buck either!
