A short time ago, I read on CCB about an upcoming happening in Duisberg, Germany relating to pool and the Olympics.

Here's the headline story on AzBilliards Main Page: http://azbilliards.com/2000storya.cfm?storynum=2870

Does this mean that pocket billiards is going to be included in the next Olympics?

This could be a BIGGIE for pool, unless I'm reading it wrong. Any thoughts?

The world games have included billiards for some time now. I believe that Jeanette Lee holds a gold in that event in the past. The world games are over seen by an olympic commitee but not considered the Olympic games.

how can pool possibly compete with sports like CURLING??

Who and how where the representatives picked? Just curious.

The press release is from Dragon Productions.

What's curious to me is why there's only two men and one woman from the U.S., but don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see all three of them, though a small number, getting an opportunity to go.

I wonder if Wu will be there! :p
