RA called me today and because he is computer illiterate, asked me to post a challenge for him on the forums. He said he will play anybody that is his age or older (72) a ten ahead race of One Pocket for $10,000 in Las Vegas. He was dead serious.

I'm sure Bucktooth will take him up on that.... if RA "wears his glasses." LOL

Older Champ From Arkansas

Al O'rear from Little Rock Ar. Imo he is a very strong
older player. I dont know if he is in the league with
ronnie but this man can shoot. Here are a few pics.
Al usually does very well in the senior devisions in
vegas. Here you go!

Al O'rear???

What has that got to do with Ronnie's challenge?
This guy looks a lot younger than 72....
...Ronnie probably has T-shirts older than him

ok buddy

If you ever read the rags to rifleman book al orear is mentioned as one of buddy halls top ten opponents. Also he has won the senior devision tournys in vegas several times out of all the seniors in the country bud. Also the pic is about twenty years old buddy! There you go!!

Did you just say "Ten Ahead, One Pocket"? That has to be a joke. I'd put Little Al up against him if Ronnie has a backer. But it has to be a Race To Ten, not Ten Ahead.
P.S. Al is 74, going on 75 soon.

just curious...

........How many pool players are 72 years old and can play with RA? Darn few, I'd guess.........He'd get more response if he would just extend it to senior citizens on Medicare.....(65+)..........lol

california billiard club will host?

I suggest playing this match at california billiard club when the April 27-may 1st one pocket and seminole event take place. I will take care of the pool time and all the beer roni can drink!!!!!

Roni should have no problem since he plays here and has one of his backers in the area. plus Jay will be here helping with the one pocket event, all we need is a good old player( john h. ??) and plus I hear in the wind that there will be a few high dollar matches during this event.

I take it back...I think...:o

..on the other hand...add 20 years to that picture....
..he still might not be 72.
If he is..I'd like to know his diet:)

Although close i don't think "oop" is 72.

If you see/talk to him tell him adam said hi:)

Sure i will see him in a few days, he is my mentor pretty much. Him and randy cole are the best players in arkansas imo! I will pass the message.

also

the age requirement to play in the super senior division in bca is 65. Al won that three or four years ago. So he is probably in his late 60s early 70s. I have never asked him his age!!
Well hopefully ronnie will find him a gunslinger!

I'll bet Bob Vanover can give him a tough match. I don't know if he plays one pocket at all but he still shoots great and I believe he's well into his seventies.
