Barry "Balla" Manilow

Oooooh yeah! Barry's music has hypnotic properties that can make the average pool player perform centuries like they're second nature! I once hit the "repeat" button on "I Write The Songs" and finally when my iPhone's battery died and I came to it was reported to me that I had run 525 balls!!! If my battery could have made it just a bit more Mosconi's record would be all mine. The only problem is that when I did awaken from my hypnotic slumber I was doin' the "chicken walk" and hittin' on guys!

Moral of this story:
DON'T EVER TRUST BARRY MANILOW...his music can do damaging things to ya foooooo shoooooo!

PS: Stay well clear of Liberace too!!!

*Disclaimer: Never ran 525 balls and I'm not gay!* :p

I heard of the Manilow Magic properties on pool, and tried it only once. Same song: "I Write the Songs." It's a painful story, but I must share it briefly in case anyone else tries this dangerous hypnosis. I won the lag and hit Play on my ipod. Yeah, I was smooth and methodical. But before I even got to the nine, I could not help myself- I calmly walked over to an off duty cop, took his ankle gun, and shot myself right in the temple.

I got better.

But I never tried that old Manilow Magic again.

Thank both for the feedback. It sounds like Barry can be quite deadly. I tried repping you both but it won't let me for some reason. :(

No problem. I tried repping you, too, for bringing up such an important subject, but I have to spread it around, apparently.

I do think Big Perm should answer to why he is, essentially, recommending something worse than crack cocaine to the innocents of the Pool World.

I think you are right. Big Perm has some explaining to do.

Apparently there are new un-abridged rules to the World Standard Pool rules.
The wearing of head sets (Ipods and MP3 players) has been changed, to protect the OPPONENTS

Too many players (opponents without head sets) have been complaining about this song selections or getting those rhythms out of their heads...

Werewolf and Barry M's songs are no longer allowed... Thank you very much.

Any Michael Jackson song is OK... but check on any song by Beonce

If you can't play to "Mandy," you can't play. Although I'm not into men, I love me some Barry. I'm off now to listen to "Copacabana." If you say you've never sang along to this, you, my friend, are a liar.

...."the hottest spot north of Havana. ..... At the Copa, we fell in looooove."

Come on, next thing is you guys will tell me you've never sang along with Boy George. You lying fu@#ers.

What about Phil Collins?

"I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums."
