Couldn't find any details about this, do the cuemakers and dealers generally take credit card payments at the Super Billiards Expo. I feel like spending some money :)

Thanks,

You could always link a CC to your paypal account and if you make a deal in person fire over a paypal payment from your cell phone right there.

some do take credit cards............. I usually buy from Bell Forest and they do.......................

Most do.. with you being able to attach a little credit card slider to and iPad or phone it would be silly not to. That's a lot of sales your missing out on if you don't

I believe most do. I know the retail stores selling accessories do. You would probably get better deal with cash if that is possible for you.

If they don't, bad business for them. I mean, guy see's a $2K plus cue. With a CC he pulls the trigger maybe. Not a lot of folks walking around with a few grand playing pool at an amateur event. And those that do, usually are NOT shopping for cues, they're shopping for something else ;)

I'm hoping they have the technology to take PayPal more than credit cards.

They should take both paypal and creditcard.
I got tired of people who dont have cash or never transfers funds before you almost threaten them, so I spent about $50 on a bluetooth card machine. It fits in my jacket pocket and I have my "shop selection" in an app on my phone. It works great!

Some do, and some don't. One year, most of the cuemakers did take credit cards, but many stopped for any number of reasons.

So, I suppose the recommendation is to be adequately prepared.

The issue for many people is that we have become basically a cashless society. I know I'll go days without using cash, instead using debit cards at the gas station or grocery store. In a way it's safer that way (If some maniac holds you up in the parking lot and gets your cards you can call and cancel them, whereas with cash you're on your own) but also equally unsafe when you consider identity theft.

Credit cards? How can they commit tax fraud with a credit card? Lol. Just kidding. Some do, some don't. The Muellers type and biggger sellers take cards, some of the more smaller custom cue dealers take only cash. Only way to know which is to go.

I've bought stuff at each SBE the last six years and everyone I dealt with took a card. Cash may catch a deal, especially on Sunday. Any problems may have happened because of the TAX POLICE when it was in Jersey. The state broke balls. They wanted their tribute.

I have bought 2 higher end cues at SBE a JW and a R Black--neither dealer would take a card- cash only- one was RB himself, but that was in 2002, and the JW was in 2012.

You may find a handful of dealers who don't accept credit cards or tack on a surcharge, but generally every one there takes credit card.

If you're a vendor and believe your merchant fees are too high, then check in square.com. Very easy to use, and more importantly PCI compliant.
