The asking price may indeed be accurate for the amount of Gold that would be required even for plating all of the claimed parts... but some of the claims within the description seem out of line. Such as slates for a GC being rare and costing 5K-7K... and I have no idea what part of the table they're talking about at multiple points in their description. Thought I'd share, maybe someone can tell me if I'm the idiot

Brunswick GC I

I have seen this ad before and it's WAYYYYYY out of line. What is interesting to me is that I started playing pool in the bowling alley where that table came from in Bellevue,Wa. I have played more games on that exact table than anyone out there. I know the previous owners as well. How this monkey wound up with the table, and how this poor table has been bastardized beyond recognition is beyond me. Where some of these figures came from are ridiculous. I have 10 sets of original 9' Gold Crown slate that I would love to sell this guy. He could have all 10 tables for $2000 a piece. That ad makes a good laugh though.

Yes, the seller is obviously crazy and will never get anywhere near his asking price for that table. That is why it has been for sale on eBay forever!!!

Just wondering how or why you consider the table to be "bastardized beyond recognition" ??? People paint and fix up older GC's all the time.

I think it wold look awesome with the glossy black paint and gold plating, like a Black GCIII.

Just my personal opinion because I "bastardized" mine also

Plus, the first of his series of pictures is not even a GC1 but rather a "vintage" GC5. In fact, it's the stock photo straight from Brunswick's website. I also notice that he will only take paypal for the $500 deposit at the close of the auction but the rest of the purchase must be in cashiers check or money order so as to "avoid fraud". LOL!!!

You guys are all crazy! He included all the moving pads in his asking price. You fools never realized the astronomical added value of those bright blue moving blankets!!!!!
